Testimony of Esther Sue: I wish I had been able to save my first attempt at writing my testimony on this page. I felt like it was my best written testimony ever! Something mysterious happened to it, and only God knows where it is now...maybe God wanted a better one? My prayer is that this one, if it should survive long enough to be saved, might encourage at least one seeking soul. If so, it was well worth the effort! I have been a professing Christian since I was 19 years old (30 years ago). I would like to say that as soon as I accepted Christ as my Saviour, that I immediately became obedient and compliant to God's Will. I can't say that, though. I spent many years acting and thinking as a "babe in Christ" instead of growing in the knowledge and love of my Lord. This prevented me from being fully used by Him for His honor and glory. I have made many mistakes along the way, all of which I have deeply regretted. But, regret is a luxury I can not entertain in the present tense. God has buried my sins, my mistakes, my many failures as deep as the ocean and has removed them from me as far as the east is from the west. How can I uncover them? Why would I want to? Great is my God and Father to deliver me from these burdens through my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ!! I have been, more times than not, my own worst enemy. When I allowed myself the misery of dwelling on my past failures, I would beat myself up mentally and with much anguish, about something that could not be changed, therefore ruining and robbing the present of time that could be spent on more productive and joyful endeavors. There is so much that we have to deal with in the world as it is today. God's mercies are new each morning - He promises us this!! Why can't we also allow our mercies toward ourself and others to be new each day as well? This does not excuse us from doing our best and giving our best efforts at all we do, "as unto the Lord". But, after a day of giving it our best, and leaving the rest in God's loving hands, let us in an effort to mirror God's grace be forgiving of ourselves and others. In this way, God will be forgiving of us as well and we can remain under His perfect Will. God loves us with an unconditional, unfailing love. He created us with the sole purpose of having a loving and sharing relationship with Him. As Christians, we are "bought with a price" and are not our own person. Christ gave His all so that "whosoever will" can call upon His name, believe in His power to save for all time those who put their trust in His sacrificial act on the cross. It is by God's grace, through His son's sacrifice, that we are saved -- not by works, that we could boast of our ability to do that which only Christ and He alone can do!! We are to be "lights on the hill" in a dark and sin-filled world. What would you rather have? Joy eternal or pain forever? Would you be a light to the world or a shadow in the darkness? Do you love God above all else or do you love yourself and the world more? If you were to die tonight, do you know where you would spend eternity? If you don't know the answer to any of these questions, we need to talk - before it is too late. In Christ forever, Esther Sue

11 Sept. 2001 entry: The World Trade Center and part of the Pentagon now lay in rubbles due to a cowardly, evil act of terrorism. I would like to make this statement: Goodness shall always prevail, and should NEVER take a back seat to evil. Our security and peace come ONLY through our Saviour, Jesus Christ, and is NOT OF THIS WORLD. We will continue to love and do good for the honor and glory of our Lord God, and no amount of evil can ever put a stop to the cause of Christ. AMEN!
